BARBARA JEAN MYERS

Barbara Jean Myers, age 85, of Tuscarawas, passed away at Union Hospital in Dover, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

Born on August 30, 1932, in Dutch Valley (Uhrichsville), Barbara is the daughter of the late Russell and Hazel (Haver) Gray.

In 1950, Barbara graduated from Uhrichsville High School.  She was employed at Alsco for 34 years until her retirement in 1991.  Barbara enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Samuel L. Myers, who passed away April 3, 1992 and her siblings Dorothy Hutmire, Emeline McConnell, Charlotte Haas, Joe Gray, Paula Harshey and infant brother Russell Gray.

Barbara is survived by her children  Brenda (Wayne) Clark, Thomas (Susan) Myers, Cindy (Rex) Walter, Shelley (Henry) Sanders and Jeffrey Myers; sister Judy Yonley; brother Richard Gray; 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Wallace Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Tuscarawas.

Calling hours will be from 12 to 2 p.m., (two hours prior to services) on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the funeral home.
