BETTY A. WHITMAN KOSEGI

Betty A. Whitman Kosegi, age 85, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Union Hospital in Dover, following a lengthy illness.

Born on December 28, 1932, Betty is the daughter of the late Robert Whitman and Neva (Jones) Neighbors.  In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband Donald M. Kosegi, whom she married February 6, 1963 and who preceded her in death on October 22, 1998; children Diana Armstrong, Carol Browing, Donald H. Kosegi andVicki  Morris; brothers Bob Whitman, Ron Whitman and Judy Whitman Moreland.

Betty worked many hours in the family bar and retired from Rich Industries after 16 years of service. She attended Grace United Methodist Church.  Betty enjoyed puzzle books, cooking, watching Nascar and spending time with family, especially on Thanksgiving.

Betty is survived by her children Michael L. Kosegi of New Philadelphia, Dawna and Rick Harmon of Uhrichsville, Kim and Bob Henry of Tuscarawas, Ralph Marsh of Akron, David Marsh of Akron, Cheryl Golf of Akron, Sue Haney of Newcomerstown; siblings Jim Whitman, Kay Buckey, Shelia Nichols and Neva Jean Smith; son-in-law George Armstrong; sister-in-law and BFF Betty Whitman; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and she had a very special place in her heart for her grandson Robert Henry.

Funeral services for Betty will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 1 p.m., at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. in Uhrichsville with the Pastor Lisa Meese officiating.  Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1 p.m., (two hours prior to services) on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
