BETTY “JAYNE” BARTH ROE

1924-2016

Betty “Jayne” Barth Roe, age 92, of Dennison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016, in the home where she was born.

A daughter of the late Herman and Clara (Goettge) Barth, Jayne was born May 10, 1924.  She graduated from Dennison High School Class of 1942.

On March 28, 1948, she married Paul Roe and they enjoyed 57 years together before his passing on November 15, 2005.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Paula and Rusty McDevitt of Dennison;  her grandchildren Jonathan Stucky of Dover, Heather and Trent Pinkerton of Powell, Amber and John Dunn of Dover; step-granddaughter Laynie and Joseph Alvarez of Edmond, OK; her great grandchildren Noah and Joshua Dunn, Morgan and Logan Pinkerton  and her step-great grandchildren Abbie and Lakeland Alvarez.  Jayne is also survived by her sister-in-law Zelma Barth of Reynoldsburg and many nieces and a nephew.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Leona (Glen) Staley and Minnie (Bill) Britt; her brothers Paul and Dick Barth and her son-in-law Stanley Stucky.

Funeral services for Jayne will be held at 11:00 a. m., on Thursday,  December  1, 2016 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor John Dunn and the Pastor Bryan Flood officiating.  Burial will follow at Dover Burial Park.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
