Carl Elmer McMillen, age 72, of Tippecanoe, O., passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Sunnyslope Nursing Home in Bowerston, O., following a five year battle with cancer.
Born on February 20, 1940 in Dennison, Carl was the son of late Lawrence R. and Anna (Mahaffey) McMillen.
Carl was a lifelong resident of the area and was employed as a dozer operator for 30 years until his retirement in 2002.
Carl is survived by his children Greg McMillen of Carrollton, Dan (Lora) McMillen of Uhrichsville, Michael McMillen of Tippecanoe, Carla McMillen of New Philadelphia and Rick (companion Rita Shuss) McMillen of Uhrichsville; two brothers Harold (Joanne) McMillen of Tippecanoe and Larry Dean (Lola) McMillen of New Philadelphia; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and his former wife Kay M. McMillen of Tippecanoe.
Graveside services for Carl will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Patterson Union Cemetery in Deersville, with the Pastor Keith Kope officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
