GERALD “JERRY” DAVID FRILEY
Gerald “Jerry” David Friley, age 89 of Dennison, O.; passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 12, 2018, at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.
Born on June 11, 1928 in Logan, O., Jerry is the son of the late Rueben and Gladys (Aurand) Friley. Jerry enlisted in the United States Army, serving from October 23, 1946 until September 27, 1949. He was employed at Hercules Engine as a welder for 22 years, until his retirement in 1991.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, cutting wood, corn hole, horse shoes and camping.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Jerry is survived by his wife Patricia Jill (Wallace) Friley of the home; a son Jon “Tandy” Friley (companion Heidi Nelson) of Dennison; two daughters Linda (Jessie) Vigil of Colorado and Patsy Moody of Ft. Myers, Florida; four sisters Jennie Cook, Velma Hamilton, Ruby Blackstone and Shirley Proctor all of Logan, O.; three grandchildren Ashley Nacole Carpenter, Tandon Matthew Friley and Matthew David (Kara) Trimmer; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on April 7, 2018 at 2 p.m., at the Family Baptist Church in Uhrichsville.
