HARRIET ELIZABETH HARDING

1934-2017

Harriet Elizabeth Harding, age 82, of Gnadenhutten, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover.

A daughter of the late Frank and Wilma I. (Gossett) Johnson, Harriet was born June 3, 1934 in Rush Township.  She graduated from Uhrichsville High School Class of 1952.  Harriet was a homemaker who loved quilting and being a farmer’s wife.

On October 6, 1952, she married Robert W. Harding and they enjoyed 46 years together before his passing on January 27, 1999.

Harriet is survived by her daughters Janice (Tim) Walton of New Philadelphia, Carol Dryden of Sugarcreek and Margie (Ed) Wilson of Sugarcreek; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother -in-law Doyle, sister-in-law Joyce Harding both of Uhrichsville and brother-in-law Carl Johns of Arizona.

Besides her parents and husband, Harriet is preceded in death by her two sons Robert “Pup” Harding and David W. “Peanut” Harding and sister Helen Johns.

Funeral services for Harriet will be held at 12:00 noon, on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Tom Klaserner officiating.  Burial will follow at Gnadenhutten Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 11 to 12 noon (one hour prior to services) at the funeral home.
