JAMES LEONARD ALBAUGH

James Leonard Albaugh, age 54, of New Philadelphia, O.; passed away at Mercy Medical Center Select Specialty in Canton, on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, from a long hard battle with melanoma.

Born September 28, 1961 at Dover, James is the son of Joseph L. and Patricia (Jackson) Albaugh.

James attended Grant Street United Methodist Church and The Potters House.  He enjoyed painting, internet games and followed Ohio Sport Teams.  In his younger years he liked to talk on his C.B. radio.

James is also survived by his parents Joseph and Patricia Albaugh of New Philadelphia; his companion Linda Ondash of New Philadelphia; his children Clayton Smart of Alliance, David Smart of New Philadelphia, Diane Smyers of Newark, Chad Ondash of New Philadelphia and Danielle Ondash of Dover; his siblings Joseph (Lucila) Albaugh of New Philadelphia, Jeffrey (Laura) Albaugh of Brunswick and Mark (Heather) Albaugh of Uhrichsville; and the joy of his life granddaughter Katie Stickler.

Services for James officiated by Pastor Tom Cunningham will be held at 7p.m., on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home Inc. in Uhrichsville.  Burial will take place at Union Cemetery at a later date.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m., (three hours prior to services) on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the funeral home.
