JAN RENAE (ABBUHL) EDWARDS
Jan Renae (Abbuhl) Edwards, age 53, of Newcomerstown, formerly of Sharon Valley and Tuscarawas, O.; passed away at Akron City Hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, due to injuries she suffered in a fall from a horse.
Jan was born in Dennison on August 6, 1962 to surviving parents Kenneth M. and Linda L. (Reichman) Abbuhl of Sharon Valley, New Philadelphia.
Jan was a 1981 Indian Valley North graduate of Midvale and on November 14, 1981she married R. Alan Edwards at Sharon Moravian Church, where she was a member.
Jan is also survived by their son R. Alan Jr. and his wife Angela (Shutt) and grandchildren Alivia Renae, Andrew Thomas and Aubrie Kay Edwards. A son, Thomas Andrew passed away on May 3, 2007.
Surviving also is her mother and father -in-law Agnes and Eddie T. Edwards of Uhrichsville; brothers Ken Abbuhl Jr. and Robert G. Abbuhl both of Tuscarawas; brothers and sisters-in-law Toby (Pam) Edwards, Rob (Tammy) Edwards, Autum (Bob) Dennis and Jane Abbuhl all of Uhrichsville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many special friends she considered to be extended family to her as she loved every one of them.
Jan’s grandparents were the late Henry H. and Hazel L. (Young) Reichman and Glenn A. and Hester M. (Morris) Abbuhl.
Jan will be sadly missed by her husband Alan and the love that they had for 34 years. Jan loved her grandchildren and enjoyed them helping tend her dogs, gathering eggs from her variety of chickens, feeding the horses and especially her donkey, Joy.
Services for Jan officiated by Pastor Tommy Miller will be held at 1p.m., on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home Inc. in Uhrichsville. Burial will follow at the Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery near Tuscarawas.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m., on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the funeral home.
