JOHN LEROY SCOTT

John Leroy Scott, age 68, of Uhrichsville, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

Born October 3, 1938 at Dennison, John was the son of the late Stan Scott and Wanda (Craft) Crites.

On June 24, 1977, John married Mary Ennis Scott who survives of the home.  Also surviving are his children Stacy Scott, Candy Kleyman, Dwaine (Jodi) Kleyman and Jimmy Kleyman all of Uhrichsville; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren on the way; siblings Linda (Bill) Cross of Uhrichsville, Jackie (John) Vosick of Dennison, Jeannie (John) Tarleton of Uhrichsville, Dixie Scott Dryer of New Philadelphia, Juanita Scott Patterson of Uhrichsville, Steve Scott of New Philadelphia; David Scott of Uhrichsville and Stanley Scott of New Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1968 and served until 1970.  He retired from in 2011, after 45 years as a truck driver

In addition to his parents; John is preceded in death by a brother Mark Crites; step mother Juanita Gray Scott; step father C. E. Crites and his first wife Cheryl Warner Scott.

In keeping with John’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be observed.
