Kathryn Ilene Goshorn, age 81, of Tuscarawas, O., passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, following an lengthy illness.
Born on March 24, 1934, Kathryn was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (Moore) Devore.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by her son William L. Goshorn; 3 brothers Harry, Donald and Sidney Devore and 1 sister Doris Huff.
Kathryn was a lifelong resident of the area and a homemaker. She loved to travel and listen to the ocean.
On October 17, 1952, Kathryn married her husband of 63 ½ years, William L. Goshorn, who survives of the home. Also surviving is her daughter Penny (James) Myers of Barnesville; 4 grandchildren Benjamin, Ryan and Kevin (Erin) Myers and Ulonda (Scott) Fowlie; 5 great grandchildren Letia, Isaac, Alexis, Isiah and Jordon; sisters-in-law Barb Devore and Margaret Goshorn both of New Philadelphia and Viola (Kenny) Long of East Sparta and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Kathryn will be held at 3 p.m., on Friday, March 25, 2016, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor George Reichman officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Tuscarawas.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m., (two hours prior to services) on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
