LAVERA JUNE STRINGER

Lavera June Stringer, age 84, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a period of declining health.  June is finally on her journey “going home”.

Born on December 16, 1932 at Dennison, June is the daughter of the late Charles and Jenny (Stubbins) Greenwalt.

June was employed at Scio Pottery for 15 years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her dog Oreo.

In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Stringer, who passed away May 22, 2005; a son Gerald James; three great grandsons Chuckie Stringer, Blayze and Colt; her siblings Bob and Dean Greenwalt and Betty Spellman.

June is survived by her children Chuck (Kathy) Stringer of Newcomerstown, Peggy (Don) Beckett of Uhrichsville; Phyllis (Keith) Arthurs of Uhrichsville, Lavera Snyder of Uhrichsville, Rick (Penny) Stringer of Uhrichsville, Mike (Melody Williams) Stringer of Uhrichsville, Belinda (Mike) Fry of Bellaire, Brenda (Bill) Patterson of Cambridge, Bernice (Dever) Sanders of New Philadelphia and William (Jennifer) Stringer of New Philadelphia; 40 grandchildren Joe, Jeannie, Mike, Melissa, Donny, Terry, Loretta, Tammy, Shelia, Jennifer, Janette, Keith, Krishen, Jimmy, Shawnda, Kayla, Chris, Maragret, Ricky, Derek, Renee, Grace, Michael, Elaine, JoLynn, Hope, Kyle, Philip, Nathan, Ryan, Katie, Eric, Ashley, Lottie, Travis, Chynna, Hunter, Cody, Blaze and David; 77 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and her siblings Nancy, John and Chuck.

Funeral services for June will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Rev. James Wallick officiating.  Burial will follow at Dover Burial Park.

Calling hours will be from 1 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, January 19, 2017 and from 11 to 1 on Friday (two hours prior to services), at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God in Dennison.
