MARLENE CRAIG

Marlene Craig, age 81, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2017

A daughter of the late James and Marguerite Bowe, Marlene was born on June 28, 1936 in Stillwater.

On October 24, 1953, she married our father Jack W. Craig Jr., who passed away November 11, 1997.  They were married for 44 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 3 brothers James, Melvin and Robert Bowe and 1 sister-in-law Joyce (Melvin) Bowe.

Marlene enjoyed her life.  She loved family gatherings, long car rides, chatting with her neighbors and spending time with her dog and best friend “Allie May”.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah (John) Bier, 4 sons Steve (Sue) Craig, Robert (Stacie) Craig, James Craig, Patrick (Barb) Craig, 1 sister Cora Thompson; granddaughters Melissa (Clark) Rennicker, Christol (Todd) Young, Stephanie Crump, Stacie (Blain) Little, Olivia (Lewis) Richard, Stacie Tripplet, Nicole Jones and Nicole (Josh) Raber; grandsons Scott Bier, Jim Bowser, Jeff Craig, Christopher (Brandy) Craig and Nicolas (Rissa Coleman) Craig; great grandsons, Cody (Lisa Vesely) Barnes, John Freeman, Tyler Bowser, Erik Hayhurst, Alan Hayhurst, Dakota Craig and Jack Crump; great granddaughers Tabitha Rennicker, Gianna Tinnirello, Morgan Crump, Cheyenne Craig, Kaylea Bowser, Makala Richards, Jamie Richards, Daniel Richard, Maranda Richard, Alissa Craig and Alie Craig; great great grandsons Brantley Barnes and Jack Napier and several step  grandchildren, step great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Marlene will be held from 11 to 1 on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville.  Private graveside services will be held at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.
