RICHARD LEE EICHEL SR.

Richard Lee Eichel Sr., age 80, of Dover, born the son of the late Omar and Florence (Reichman) Eichel on September 14, 1936 in Sharon Valley, New Philadelphia; passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, following a lengthy illness.

On December 14, 1960, Richard married his loving wife Sandra Sue (Pierce) Eichel, who survives of the home.  Also surviving are his brother Delbert (Tammy) Eichel of New Philadelphia; sister Betty (James) Nealey of Midvale; numerous nieces and nephews and his dog “Foxy Lady”.

Richard retired from the construction and concrete business.  He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.

In addition to his parents Richard is preceded in death by his son Richard Eichel Jr., who passed away July 10, 2016; brothers Carl, Omar Jr. and Robert; sisters Carol, Faye, Bernice and Wilma.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date with the Rev. Andy McClung officiating.
