WILMA M. CHREST

Wilma M. Chrest, age 89, of Dennison, O., passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at her residence, following a sudden illness. 

Born on October 28, 1927 in New Philadelphia, Wilma was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Dora (Edwards) Fouts.

In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by her husband Doyle Chrest, who passed away June 4, 1987 and a nephew Ed Chrest.

Wilma is survived by her siblings Kenneth (Erma) Fouts of Gilmore, Betty Chrest of Uhrichsville and Janice (Vern) Baldwin of Carrollton; nieces Carol, Karen, Sarah, Lisa, Cindy and Marcy; nephew Ken and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Wilma graduated from Uhrichsville High School and was employed at Ohio Bell as an operator and at Evans Pipe Company as a receptionist.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville.  Wilma loved music especially Elvis and Country Gospel.

Funeral services for Wilma will be held at 12 noon, on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Rev. Mark Unrue officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, June 15, 2017, and from 11 to noon (one hour prior to services) on Friday at the funeral home.
