BETTY L. NORRIS

Betty L. Norris 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Claymont Health and Rehab Center in Uhrichsville, O.following a lengthy illness.

Betty was born in Dennison on October 3, 1928, a daughter of the late Lewis E. Johnson and Ruth M.Cheney Johnson. 

Betty worked at the A&P grocery store in Uhrichsville, many years until its closing, and also worked at H&A Drug store.  Following that she worked at the AAA in New Philadelphia where she loved to travel as an agent for AAA. She graduated from Uhrichsville High School class of 1946, where  she was the head majorette. She was a member of Roxford United Methodist Church, and was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Joy Lanning of Vancouver, Washington, Jeffrey W. Norris of Tuscarawas, O. and Vonda (Ken) Garabrandt of Dennison, O. Five grandchildren, Nicole Sanders of Vancouver, Washington. Toby (Lori) Norris of Keswick Virginia, Tonya (Chris) Miller of New Philadelphia, O., Amber (Bill) Steffen of New Philadelphia O., and Ryan (Nikole) Garabrandt of Dennison, O and several nieces and nephews and twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by a brother, Robert E Johnson, and one sister, Virginia McCarty.

In keeping with Betty's wishes, no services or calling hours will be observed. The family will hold a private service at a later date. The Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home Inc. at Uhrichsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
