Charles Dean “Chuck” Western, age 64, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at his residence, following a period of declining health.

Born on April 28, 1953 in Canton, Chuck was the son of the late Milloni and Frances (Young) Western.

Chuck was a loving father, husband and grandfather.  He worked from the time he was 14 years old until his health no longer allowed it.  Chuck was a Deputy for 25 years with the Tuscarawas County Sheriff Department and the owner operator of “Chuck’s Hair Design” for 17 years.  Chuck also was employed at Marathon Manufacturing and Tusco Manufacturing.  He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Mason’s.  Chuck enjoyed his grandchildren’s sporting events, traveling, crafting and playing the drums.  He never met a stranger and was always willing to help.  Chuck was very opinionated; whether you wanted to hear it or not.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

On September 30, 1972, Chuck married Bridget (McHenry) Western, who survives of the home.  Also surviving are their children Michelle Western Haga (companion Bob Whitman Jr.), Bobbie Jo Western and Joeseph Western; siblings Milloni “Butch” (Janie) Western and Barb Burdette (companion Ike and Walt Burdette); grandchildren Andrew Haga (companion Anna Blanish), Brian “Cubby” Haga and Emma Western and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his sisters Angel Haney and Rose Williams.

In keeping with Chuck’s wishes, cremation will take place.  A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m.,  on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Uhrichsville Moose.
