DARRELL WAYNE LENDON

Darrell Wayne Lendon, 63, loving husband, father and grandfather, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, following a lengthy illness.

Born on May 29, 1954, in Dennison, Darrell was the son of the late Leslie and Margaret (Mansfield) Lendon.  In addition to his parents, Darrell is preceded in death by his brother Leslie Lendon; sister Darlene Beckett and father-in-law Robert Orr.

Darrell was employed at YRC Express as a truck driver for 37 ½ years until his retirement in 2016 and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville.  He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, riding his motorcycle, fishing and he loved his garden especially tomatoes.  He was proud to put his songs on You Tube for his grandchildren.

On March 31, 1973, Darrell married Karen (Orr) Lendon, who survives of the home.  Also surviving are their children Angela (Frank) Burton of Uniontown, Stacy (David)  Robson of Dennison and Darrell (Fiance Alyson Carpenter) Lendon II of Barnhill; siblings Ronald Lendon, David (Brenda) Lendon, Joyce Beckett, Linda (Jim) Wilson, Karen (Tom) Lorenz, Edna (Kevin) Tedrick, Margaret (Jeff) Baker and Ross (Donna) Lendon; 11 grandchildren McKayla, Austin and Jake Ferguson, Franklin and Chloe Burton, Makaylyn Lendon, Reece Robson, Morgen Lendon, Ali Robson and Anthony and Logan Everhart; mother-in-law Faye Orr; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services for Darrell will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1 p.m., at the Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville with the Rev. Larry Malterer officiating.
