GUINEVERE Y. “VONNIE” PAGE LEGG

Guinevere Y. “Vonnie” Page Legg, age 85, of Dennison, O., went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.

Vonnie was born on April 3, 1933 in Dennison, the daughter of the late Lloyd Milton and Delpha M. (Cox) Page.  She graduated from Uhrichsville High School and spent her life as a homemaker, taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Vonnie was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville, The Church of New Hope, the United Methodist Women and she taught Sunday School.  She was known by many as “Sweet Vonnie”.  Vonnie supported her husband Don, ministering in churches in the Cambridge and Mansfield area from 1992 until they retired.

Vonnie is survived by her children Shari (Mark) Cox and Michael (Pam) Legg all of Dennison and Rev. Daniel (Gail) Legg of Dover; grandchildren Jessi (Cody) Smith, Mark (Susi) Cox II, Michael (Susan) Legg II, Dustin (Chelsey) Legg, Lindsay (Bob) Mecomonaco all of Dennison, Joshua (Andrea) Legg, Jason (DeAnna) Legg and Jenae Legg all of Dover; great grandchildren Abbi (Nathan), Timothy, Nathaniel, Aria, Rachael, Heather, Ryan (Joelle), Tyler, Katin, Joshua, Gavin, Madi, Dino, Isabella, Donovan, Jillian, Eowyn, Leon and Roscoe.

In addition to her parents, Vonnie is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Donald Gene Legg who passed away on February 13, 2007; a son Jeffrey Allen Legg and two brothers Andy and Milton Page.

Funeral services for Vonnie will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, December 17, 2018, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with her son the Rev. Daniel Legg, the Rev. Lisa Page Meese and the Rev. Bill Shepler officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m., on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the funeral home.
