HOPE ANN MARSTRELL

1926-2018

Hope Ann Marstrell, age 91, of Stillwater, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Park Village Health Care and Assisted Living in Dover, following a period of declining health.

Hope was born on February 7, 1926 in Bessemer, Pennsylvania.  She was the daughter of the late Chester and Mary (Knotts) Chaddock.  In addition to her parents, Hope is preceded in death by her husband Dr. John V. Marstrell, who passed away November 6, 2014; a daughter Maryann and an infant son.

In 1944, Hope graduated from Uhrichsville High.  She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  Hope liked gardening, mowing the grass and anything that involved being in the sunshine.  She also enjoyed vacationing in Florida and was a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Hope is survived by her daughter and her husband Patti Jayne and Kim Abbuhl of Stillwater; two granddaughters Ashlee (Jerrod) Plotts of Stillwater and Darcy (Chris) Dower of Cambridge and four great grandchildren Christopher and Douglas Dower and Mayne and Ellery Plotts.

Funeral services for Hope will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor David Koch officiating.  Burial will follow at Gnadenhutten Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1, (two hours prior to services) on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
