Margaret Estelle (Holmes) Keffer

MARGARET ESTELLE KEFFER

Margaret Estelle Keffer, age 92, Lakewood Ranch, Florida, formerly of Uhrichsville, passed away January 19, 2018, at Tidewell Hospice in Palmetto, Florida O., following a brief illness.

The daughter of the late Harry and Wanda (Fawcett) Holmes, Margaret was born February 13, 1925 in Uhrichsville, O.  Margaret was a Registered Nurse and was employed at Trinity Twin City Hospital formerly Twin City Hospital for many years until her retirement in 1988.  She was a member of the Crosspointe Christian Church in Sarasota, Florida and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Herb” Keffer, who passed away October 15, 2004; step-mother Celia Holmes; three sisters; one brother and grandson Christopher McConnell.

Margaret is survived by her children Debbie (Ken) McConnell of Uhrichsville, Kevin (Pat) Keffer of Dover and Kari Lu (David) Bryan of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; sister Nomie Bredfeldt of Dodge City, Kansas; grandchildren Andrew (Justina) McConnell, Lauren (Jeremy) Larkin, LCDR Benjamin (Tara) Keffer, Anne Keffer, LT Ella Keffer, Pierce Bryan, Joy Moore and Laurel (Destin) Clarkson and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Margaret will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, January, 25, 2018 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor David Bryan officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.

Calling hours will be held from 11 to 1 (two hours prior to services) on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the funeral home.
