NANCY A. (URBAN) GALLION

Nancy A. (Urban) Gallion, age 79, of Uhrichsville, O.; died peacefully at Claymont Health and Rehab Center on January 6, 2016, following a battle against cancer.

Nancy was born on February 25, 1937 to the late Orland and Dora Urban.

She graduated from Port Washington High School and until her illness, enjoyed attending the yearly alumni banquet.

Nancy was a lifelong active member of the First Christian Church of Uhrichsville.  She worked for several years as a telephone operator for General Telephone.  Nancy retired from the Claymont School System as a cafeteria cook for the junior high.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her brothers Bill, Don “Dink” and Terry Urban, a beloved nephew Kevin Gladman, infant great grandson Xander McNutt and stepson Edward Gallion.

On November 28, 1997, she married James Gallion.  They celebrated 5 years of marriage until his passing on July 14, 2003.

Nancy is survived by her children Mary (John) Barkley, Jackie (Rich) Seymore all of Dover and Allen (Cathy) Corbett of New Philadelphia; sister Carlene (John) Gladman of Uhrichsville; brother Jack (Leona) Urban of Akron; stepchildren Susan Gallion (Ed) Ball, Sharon Gallion Savitz all of Tennessee and Karen Gallion Kubalak of New Philadelphia.  She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren Christopher (Jen) Barkley, Scott (Jessica Durbin) Barkley and Todd Barkley, Kayla (Shane McNutt) Seymore, Rachel (Tony) Saffel, Ali Seymore, Aaron Corbett and Leah Corbett; Ryan and Liam Saffel, Alexander Barkley and Scarlett McNutt, along with several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, Nancy will be cremated, there will be no calling hours.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
