PRUDENCE “PRUDY” JANE UHRICH DRYDEN

Prudence “Prudy” Jane Uhrich Dryden, age 68, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. 

The daughter of the late Clarence W. and Helen J. (Shontz) Uhrich, Prudy was born August 7, 1948 in Dover, O.  In 1965, she graduated from Claymont High School.  Prudy was employed at area banks and most recently at Huntington Bank for 38 years until her retirement.

On July 21, 1966, Prudy married David O. Dryden.  They have been married for 51 years.  She enjoyed cooking, shopping and making pastries.

In addition to her parents, Prudy is preceded in death by her brother Wendell Uhrich.

Prudy is survived by her husband David Dryden of the home; her children David Dryden of Stark Co. and Amanda Dryden of Dover; her sister Karen Uhrich of Uhrichsville; three grandchildren Ashley Nicole, Drew and Kaitlyn and an Aunt Shirley Jones of Dover.

Funeral services for Prudy will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Rev. Mark Unrue officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the funeral home.
