ALICE NELLIE MUNRO

Alice Nellie Munro, age 97, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, formerly of Akron, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois, passed away March 13, 2023, at her residence following a brief illness.

Born May 19, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, Alice was the daughter of the late Olie and Alma (Olson) Parks.

Alice was a homemaker most of her life.  She loved spending time with family, friends and her pets.  She loved animals, flower gardening, reading, music, sports, dry witty humor, long walks with the dogs and cats and STRONG COFFEE!

Alice is survived by her children Lisa Munro, with whom she resided, James C. (Diana) Munro of Akron, Ohio and Richard L. (Jean) Munro of Raleigh, North Carolina; her grandchildren Jeremy, Hannah, Willow and Morgan Munro; great grandchildren Keighlyn Munro and Ezra Hinton and also surviving are two sisters-in-law Ruth and Katherine; brother-in-law Carl; many nieces and nephews and special friend Rydeka.

In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her former husband whom she spent 42 years with, Richard L. Munro.
