AMANDA “MANDY” L. PANCHER WALTERS
Amanda “Mandy” L. Pancher Walters died November 8, 2015 of complications of Parkinson Disease. For the past 3 years she resided at Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville and was under Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County Care. Born April 11, 1938 at Uhrichsville, the daughter of the late Paul “Lefty” and Sarah (Lahm) Pancher. Mandy attended schools at Tuscarawas and Uhrichsville where she enjoyed cheerleading.
On March 12th 1955 she married her high school sweetheart the late Clifford “Duke” Walters. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage. She worked many years at Twin City Hospital in Dennison and after she retired opened “La Petite’s” dog grooming shop where she enjoyed each and every dog she groomed. Her hobbies included raising and showing dogs, playing cards, enjoying her grandchildren, collecting dolls and antiques, and QVC shopping. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey A. Walters and his wife Susan K. Walters of Lakeland, Florida; grandson Vonn A. Walters of Lakeland, Florida, and granddaughter Brianna R. Young and her husband Michael D. Young of Barboursville, West Virginia, sister in law’s Maxine (Bill) Dillon, and Donna Pancher all of Uhrichsville, Ohio; and brother in law Russ (Jackie) Walters, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, in laws, three brothers: Jack, Dick, and Darrell Pancher.
Services will be held on Wednesday November 11, 2015 at 10 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison, with Father Tyrone Tomson officiating. Family will be present from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mandy’s name to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County or the Immaculate Conception Church.
The family would like to express their gratefulness for all the visits, phone calls, and care given to Mandy during her lengthy illness. Special thanks to Maxine, Francie, Donna, Debbie, Susan, Kim, Nancy, Lynn, Shawnee, Mindy, Starr, Brenda and caregivers at Hospice and Beacon Pointe Rehab.
