BARBARA A. WELLS DENZER

Barbara A. Wells Denzer was born on February 24, 1934 to Dwight Wells and Ruth Ashleman Wells in Uhrichsville, OH died peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH on July 12, 2021. 

Barbara was a lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County. She worked as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell in Uhrichsville, after graduating from high school, for many years. She later worked for General Telephone in New Philadelphia and retired from there. Barbara enjoyed golfing at Big Bend, bowling and spending time with many loving friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adrian Denzer and brother, Jerold Wells. 

She is survived by her sister, Jane Russell and husband Judson of Rockwall, TX, sister-in-law, Jeannette Wells of Cadiz, OH along with four nieces, four nephews, three grand nieces and eight grand nephews.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Rev. Mark Unrue officiating.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in New Philadelphia.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1, (two hours prior to services) on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the funeral home.
