CARMELLA JOANN LONG

Carmella Joann Long, age 84, of Canton, O., passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, O., following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 1, 1939, in Dennison, O., the daughter of the late Clarence Alvin and Blanche (Whalen) Parks.

Carmella was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, reading and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On October 16, 1956, Carmella married Clarence Tracy Long.  They were together for 63 years until his passing on February 4, 2019.  In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings Robert Parks, Donald Parks, Jack Ciano, Raymond Parks, Grace Bonnell and Geraldine Jones.

Carmella is survived by her children Gloria Adams, Tracy (Steveanna) Long and Todd (Sue) Long, all of Canton, O.; grandchildren Jerry (Jennifer) Adams, Todd (Menghong) Long II, Tracy (Georie) Long, Travis (Amanda) Long, Samantha (Caleb) Arquitt, Maddison Lake, Christina (Lee) Smith, Amber (Craig) Shankle and Jared (Brandi) Caudill, along with numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Benedict's Church in Canton, O., on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville, O.
