CINDY MARIE SHINABERRY
Cindy Marie Shinaberry, age 67, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at her residence, following a hard fought battle with cancer.
Cindy was born February 27, 1958, in Dennison, O., the daughter of the late Charles and Alberta (Sterling) Bonifay.
After graduating from high school, Cindy married Gregory Shinaberry, who survives of the home, on June 8, 1976 at the Rush Community Church of the Nazarene. They are survived by three children Eric (Beth) Shinaberry, Sara (Jimmy) Swain and LeighAnn Shinaberry all of Dennison. Also surviving are her siblings Sue (Tom) Vermillion of Dennison, Linda Shaw of Gnadenhutten, Dick (Debbie) Bonifay of Dennison, Brian (Stacie) Bonifay of Gnadenhutten and brother-in-law Mike Abel of Dennison; eight grandchildren Andrew (Meghan) Swain, Miles Shinaberry (Grace Jones), Vada Swain, Mason Morris, Morgen Lendon, Easton Shinaberry, Samantha Swain and Grady Shinaberry; great grandchild on the way Stevie Ann Marie Shinaberry; mother-in-law Norma Shinaberry; Brother-in-law Leslie Shinaberry; sisters-in-law Cheryl (Ron) Gibbons and Lisa (Rich) Johns; along with several nieces, nephews and close friends.
In addition to her parents, Cindy is preceded in death by a sister Jeanne Abel; father-in-law Lester Shinaberry; brother-in-law Richard “Spank” Shaw; niece Jody Golec; great nephew Grant Haney and sister-in-law Shirley Shinaberry.
Cindy was employed as a receptionist/secretary until her retirement in 2021. She was also the pianist for Newport Church for 17 years, where she was a member of the church. Spending time with her family (children and grandchildren) and her fur babies Rosie and Dixie was her greatest love.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 12, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Rush Community Church of the Nazarene in Uhrichsville. Following calling hours, at 12 p.m., both Pastor Kory Rowland and Pastor Brett Warkentine will officiate the funeral services for Cindy. The funeral service will be live streamed on the church facebook page and You Tube @rushnazarenechurch8149.
