DAVID WAYNE “PEANUT” HARDING
David Wayne “Peanut” Harding, age 60, of Gnadenhutten, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at his residence.
David was born on December 10, 1954, at Paxton Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois, the son of Harriet (Johnson) Harding of Dover and the late Robert Wayne Harding.
In 1974, David graduated from Indian Valley South High School. He is a lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County and was employed at Bates Metal in Port Washington. David was a longtime member of the Uhrichsville Moose. His passion was to his family. He loved his sisters and late brother, nephews, nieces and all of their accomplishments. He enjoyed cruising, visiting, watching old westerns, tractor pulls and the county fair. He also enjoyed the local farming community, interacting and staying up to date with the local farmers. David was loved by many and he did not know a stranger.
In addition to his father, David is preceded in death by a brother Robert “Pup” Harding.
David is survived by his mother Harriet Harding of Dover; his sisters Janice (Tim) Walton of New Philadelphia, Carol Dryden of Sugarcreek and Margie (Ed) Wilson of Sugarcreek; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Gnadenhutten Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in “Peanut’s” name may be made to the Gnadenhutten Fire Department.
