David Ray McMath

DAVID RAY MCMATH    

David Ray McMath, age 83, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Claymont Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville, following a brief illness. 

David was born June 5, 1937 in Dennison, O.  He was the son of the late Harry T. “Gus” and Mary Alice (Campbell) McMath.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife Sally Rae (Ford) McMath, who passed away January 5, 2015; a brother Donald McMath and a daughter-in-law Lee Ann McMath.

David graduated from Uhrichsville High School.  He was employed at Gradall as a machinist, until his retirement in 1999.  He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.  David enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and he loved his Cadillac cars.

David is survived by his children Rae Ann McMath of Uhrichsville, Darrell (Mandy) McMath of New Philadelphia and Dean (Despo) McMath of Uhrichsville; grandchildren Alexis (Kurt) Manin, Andrew (Hillary) McMath, Derek (Kayla Freeman) McMath and Lyndsey (Megan) McMath; great grandchildren Knox and Nora Manin and Tyson Freeman; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for David will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc., in Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Larry Malterer officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1, on Friday, January 29, 2021, (two hours prior to services) at the funeral home.  Masks and social distancing will be required.
