DAVID CLARENCE MILES
David Clarence Miles, age 83, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health.
Born May 24, 1931, at Uhrichsville, David was the son of the late Edgar R. and Wanda V. (Lauver) Miles.
In 1949, David graduated from Uhrichsville High School. He was a master brick mason having worked for Crites Masonry until his retirement in 1992. David was a member of the Uhrichsville Moravian Church, the Dennison Eagles and the Clendening and Piedmont Fishing Clubs. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Twin City Bowling Hall of Fame.
On July 7, 1951, David married his wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Aeschliman) Miles, who survives of the home. Also surviving are his children Cindy Johnson of Canton, Sue Allen (Ben) of Rising Sun, Maryland, David (companion Julie Spinell) Miles of Dennison and Dan (Jodie) Miles of Uhrichsville; his siblings Jerry (Millie) Miles of New Philadelphia, Shirley Gowins of Uhrichsville, Darryl (Diane) Miles of Gnadenhutten, Ray (JoAnn) Miles of Dennison; brothers-in-law Raymond (Doris Jean) Aeschliman of Ravenna and Paul (Jane) Aeschliman of Florida; his grandchildren Misty (Leon) Dotson and Jeremy Felton of Canton, John Allen and Mitch Allen of Maryland, Maggie (Adam) Ridgway and Joelle Miles of New Philadelphia, Matt (Emily) Miles of Uhrichsville, Danielle Miles of New Concord, Clark Miles and Raechelle Miles of Uhrichsville; his great grandchildren Isaiah, Elijah and Noel Dotson, Josiah and Zechariah Felton, Lucy, Ella and Barrett Ridgway and Troy, Jayce and Maxx Miles.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by 3 sisters Marjorie Risley, JoAnn Pettay and Terry Brady; father and mother-in-law Herman and Evelyn Aeschliman; sister-in-law Ruth Rainsberger and daughter-in-law Barbie Miles.
Memorial service for David will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at the Uhrichsville Moravian Church in Uhrichsville, with the Rev. William Rinderknecht officiating.
