DOROTHY JEAN LINT

Dorothy Jean Lint, age 98, of New Philadelphia (Tuscarawas), passed away at Park Village South Nursing Home in New Philadelphia, on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Francis Alvin and Ruth Irene (McMillen) Armstrong.  She was born August 1, 1925 in Uhrichsville.

She graduated from Uhrichsville High School and went to Business School in New Philadelphia.  Dorothy was employed at Tuscarawas School as a cook and American Vitrified Sewer Pipe in Uhrichsville.  She also did income taxes.  Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville and the First Church Women.

On May 25, 1944, Dorothy married Kenneth N. Lint in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  The celebrated 75 years of marriage until his passing on January 16, 2020.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters Sharon (Mark) Dooley of Dennison and Marlene Lint of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren Denise (Mark) Smith and Michael (Trisha) Dooley; five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy is preceded in death by her son Ray Eugene Lint and two sisters Margaret Selzer and Hazel Dietrich.

Graveside services for Dorothy will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Gnadenhutten Clay Union Cemetery, with the Pastor Kory Rowland officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville.
