ERNEST “ERNIE” RICHARD SHAFFER

Ernest “Ernie” Richard Shaffer, age 54, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, O.

The son of the Richard A. and Martha L. (Watkins) Shaffer of Uhrichsville, Ernie was born March 11, 1964, in Dennison, O.

Ernie is survived by his parents Richard and Martha Shaffer; a son Ashton Michael (Kasey) Shaffer of Hampton, VA; a brother Bruce (Peggy) Shaffer of Uhrichsville and a niece Kacey Shaffer of Carlisle, O.

Ernie graduated from Claymont High School and Buckeye Vocational School in 1982.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and working on cars.  He was employed at Pace Sankar.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., on November 17, 2018, at the Uhrichsville Nazarene Church with Pastor Mike Travis officiating.
