Frank Alford Williams

Frank Williams, age 85, of Dennison, passed away June 12, 2023 at his residence, following a lengthy illness.

Born February 3, 1938, in Beech Bottom, West Virginia, Frank was the son of the late James and Virginia Ann (Crooks) Williams.

Frank was employed at Pulp and Paper Company in Wellsburg, W. VA, barges on the Ohio River, and he retired from West Liberty State College where he was a janitor.

Frank and his wife lived most of the life in Beech Bottom, W. Va.  He was married to Carolyn Emogene Sims, who passed away October 6, 2021. In addition to his parents and wife, Frank is preceded in death by his siblings Ora Williams, Barbara Williams, Phyllis Williams and Harry Rockwell.

Frank is survived by his daughters Robin Beckley of Tippecanoe and Helen (Richard) Sommers of Dennison; siblings Liz Holden and Margaret and Frank Morrison; grandchildren Lisa and Gary Grim of Hopedale, Alan and Lyndy Beckley of Dover, Jesse and Jessica Beckley of New Philadelphia, Zack and Alexis Williams of Massillon, Keith Carpenter of Dennison, Cody Carpenter of Gnadenhutten; great grandchildren Kaleb Hayes of Steubenville, Kiley Hayes of Hopedale, Brady Beckley of Dover, Bryce Beckley of Dover, Breann Beckley of Dover, Allie Beckley of New Philadelphia, Bailee Beckley of New Philadelphia, Emlee Beckley of New Philadelphia, Blake Williams of Massillon, Beau Williams of Massillon, Gauge Carpenter of Newcomerstown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Frank will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. in Uhrichsville, with the Rev. Mark Unrue officiating.  Burial will follow at Port Washington Union Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1, (two hours prior to services) on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the funeral home.
