Fronie (Lowery) Peterson

Fronie Peterson, age 97, of Dennison, passed away June 12, 2024, at Divine (Schoenbrunn Healthcare) in New Philadelphia.

She was born March 10, 1927 in Alabama. She was the child of Deacon Charlie and Bertha (Rushton) Lowery and Bessie Lowery.

Fronie loved to spend time in her garden and flower garden and cooking.  She loved to serve the Lord.  Fronie was the mother of the church.  She never met a stranger and loved to tell stories.

Fronie is survived by her sisters Cleo Harper of Detroit, Michigan, Carol, Sims of Dayton, Ohio, Linda Brown of Detroit, Michigan, Jo Lynn Miller of Michigan, Orpah Lowery Harvey of Michigan and a host of nieces and nephews and many other wonderful relatives and friends. Grandchildren, Shara Morrow Watson of Dover, Eddie (Rachel) Grant of Dennison, Christina (Scott) Monticelli of Uhrichsville, Aaron Morrow of Dayton, Ohio and Lynde Morrow of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Bill Peterson of Columbus, Ohio; great grandchildren Spencer Grant, Lexi Grant, Brenden (Katie) Monticelli, Jasmine Grant, Xvavier Grant, Nakarri Monticelli, Absidy Watson, Samantha Blakely, Hunter Risely and Andrew Monticelli; great great grandchildren Hudson Meese and Jordan Mathis.

Fronie is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Bertha Lowery, her late husband Willie D. Peterson; her siblings, James Lowery, Eula Green Naomi Barnett, Ruth, McKenzie Grant Lowery, Jeanette Grant, Charles Lowery Junior, ED Lowery, Rosie Edna Peterson and Joseph Lowery; her Children Willie Charles Peterson, Willie Morrow, Brenda Grant and Billy Ray Peterson and grandson Keith Morrow.

A Home Going Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 12 noon, at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Dennison, with the Reverend Henry McNeil officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.

Visitation will be from 10 to 12, at the church on Wednesday, two hours prior to services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and Twin City Christian Service Center Food Pantry.
