HAROLD WILLARD WALLER
Harold Willard Waller, age 87, of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, Ohio, following a brief illness.
Born July 15, 1936, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, Harold is the son of the late Chelsea and Wilma (Hickenbottom) Waller.
After graduation, Harold enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country from 1954 to 1957. He was employed as a trooper for the Ohio State Patrol. Harold loved to watch the Browns, Guardians and he went to the Guardians Spring Training. He also enjoyed researching ancestry.
In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his wife Myra Lee Waller, whom he married February 6, 1960, in Shadyside, Ohio and who passed away July 24, 2017 and a great granddaughter Addison Quinn Russell.
Harold is survived by his children Lisa (Steve Green Sr.) Green of Dover, Mark (fiancé Teri Baker) Waller of Wheeling, W.Va., and Kurt (Deidre) Waller of Gnadenhutten; sister Doris (John) McBride of Jacobsburg, O., 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7, on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville.
The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services at 9 a.m., on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville, O. Funeral services will follow at 9:30 a.m., with the Pastor Tommy Miller officiating.
