IRIS “JOYCE” HARDING

Iris “Joyce” Harding, age 83, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Trinity Twin City Hospital in Dennison, Ohio.

Joyce was born on July 16, 1941 in Dennison, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert M. Hawkins Sr. and Iris (Ditcher) Hawkins.

In 1959, Joyce graduated from Uhrichsville High School.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Rush Community Church of the Nazarene.  Joyce and her husband enjoyed traveling in their motorhome to every state in the US.  She loved playing the piano, playing cards, work and witness trips through the church and spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by her children Doyle “Doug” (Arvilla) Harding of Uhrichsville and Karen (Roy) Brooks of Gainesville, Georgia; brother Timothy (Cathy) Hawkins of Minerva; daughter-in-law Annette Harding; grandchildren Thomas (Amber) Harding, Elizabeth (Todd) Ellwood, Michelle Harding, Austin Brooks, Wyatt  and Garrett Harding; great grandchildren Emilee and Clara Ellwood, Coleson Brooks and Bingham, Watson and Fitz Harding.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Doyle Hayes Harding, who passed away February 16, 2024; son Kirk Harding; brother Robert Hawkins Jr. and a brother-in-law Robert W. Harding.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Rush Community Church of the Nazarene, with the Pastor Brett Warkentine officiating.  Burial will follow at Gnadenhutten Clay Union Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1 (two hours prior to services) on Saturday at the church.
