JAMES EDWARD BASILETTI
James Edward Basiletti, age 81, of Uhrichsville, went to heaven to be with his son Jimmy, on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Claymont Health and Rehab in Uhrichsville.
Born March 25, 1940, in Dennison, James was the son of the late Henry W. and Mary Trushell Basiletti.
In 1958, James graduated from Dennison High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force for 4 years. James was employed for 30 years as a brick sorter for Whitacre Greer Fire Proofing. He was a member of the Park Christian Church in Dennison. James was an artist who loved painting murals, indians, trains and he painted all the State Seals behind the courtrooms of the Tuscarawas County Courthouse. He was an avid bowler who had eight 300 games. He loved to play cards, Corell potato chips and sing Elvis songs.
On June 13, 1965, James married Bonnie Richardson Basiletti, who survives of the home. Also surviving are their children Matt (Kathryn) Basiletti of Dover and Holly West of Uhrichsville; grandchildren Macee (Tyler) Moore, Gage Basiletti, Brooke (Stone) Swigert, Gussy West, Jimi Basiletti and Simone Basiletti; great grandchildren Brayden and Beckem Moore; sister Donna Cargnell; numerous nieces and nephews; his dog Copper and his cat Sara.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a son Jimmy Basiletti; his brother Ron Basiletti and his best friend Tim Edwards.
Funeral services for James will be held at 8 p.m., on Tuesday, April 25, 2021, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, in Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Scot Caley officiating.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., (two hours prior to services) on Tuesday, April 25, 2021, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Park Christian Church in Dennison.
Masks and social distancing will be observed.
