JANE ELLEN SMITH

Jane Ellen Smith, age 70, of Bowerston, O., passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville.

Born October 23, 1953, Jane is the daughter of the late John and Nina (Barrett) Reynolds.

In 1971, Jane graduated from Claymont High School.  She was employed as an office administrator at AAMCO and also in home health care for Twin City Hospital.  Jane loved spending time with her girls and grandchildren.  She enjoyed games, puzzles, crocheting and baking cookies.  She was an avid reader and liked watching professional football and baseball.  Jane was a member of Newport Methodist Church.

In 1995, Jane married James B. Smith, who passed away December 7, 2022.  In addition to her parents and husband, Jane is preceded in death by a son Craig Allen Page; a sister Carolyn Reynolds and a brother John Reynolds.

Jane is survived by her daughters Juli (Jeff) Galbreath of Uhrichsville and Missy (Jeremy) Murray of Dennison; a brother Frank (Lauren) Reynolds of Toledo; grandchildren Jayden (Tawney) Helter, Jarrett (Annie) Helter, Claudia Shaw (Wade Conway), Wyatt Shaw and Quaid Shaw; great grandchildren Waverly Milburn, Blair Helter and Dallen Helter; her special friends at the nursing home who were part of her card club playing euchre all day.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 25, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Park Valley Events, 7041 St. Rt. 800, Uhrichsville, O., 44683.
