Janet Mae Evans 74 of Uhrichsville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2025 at home. She was born on October 8, 1951 in Pawnee City Nebraska to the late Lloyd D. and Edna Mae Waniska.
She married the late Eugene Evans on June 14, 1974. They spent a marvelous life together sharing their love of each other while traveling, woodworking and building beautiful homes. In her free time she loved painting, cross stitching, gardening and baking cookies. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She attended Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship where she gained numerous friends.
Janet was a member of the United States Army for 10 years. She also achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree from Peru University in Nebraska.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Todd A. Evans and animal companions Poops and Durango.
She was survived by her son Troy Evans (Eric Huczko), Daughter in law Teresa Green and Marrisa Gallupe; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and 1 Great- Great Granddaughter, her feline companion Coco and her longest dearest friend Janice King from Georgia.
There will be a private service at a later date and she will be laid to rest with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship or wounded warrior project.
