JOHN FRANKLIN JONES

John Franklin Jones, age 71, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at his residence.

John was born on March 22, 1947, in Rush Township, O., the son of Donna (Gowins) Jones of Uhrichsville and the late Josiah Jones.  He graduated from Claymont High School and served in the United States Army. John was employed at Aleris in Uhrichsville for 26 years as a truck driver.  He was a bee keeper and he enjoyed tinkering in the garage and watching movies.  John also attended the Rush Church of the Nazarene.

John is survived by his mother Donna Jones of Uhrichsville; his children John F. Jones of Uhrichsville and Chris M. (Christi) Jones of Bolivar; brothers and sisters-in-law Christy Rauzi of Tuscarawas, Murrell J. Campbell of Tuscarawas and Edward B. (Diane) Campbell of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren Jacob and Hope Jones; two great grandchildren Kaison Jones and Rose Dorsey.

In addition to his father, John is preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Jean Jones, who passed away June 15, 2018; his daughter Alice Jones, who passed away in 1971 and siblings Glenn Jones and Gary Jones.

Graveside services for John will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Rush Church Cemetery, with the Pastor Brett Warkentine officiating.
