JOHN H. SHIELDS

John H. Shields, age 55, of Uhrichsville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at his residence.

Born September 3, 1965 in Dennison, John was the son of the late Byrl and Norma (Krollzick) Shields.

John was employed at Wayne Dalton as a door roller for 15 years.  He loved collecting old model cars and older cars.

On February 5, 1985, John married Laurie (Tanley) Shields, who survives of the home.  Also surviving are his children Meranda (Ted) Tinney of Dennison, William (Mary) Pugh of Uhrichsville and Laura Pugh of Birny, California; siblings Faith Kinney and Paul Shields; grandchildren Samual Pugh, William Pugh and David Pugh, Kaden Pugh, Derrick Pugh, Kathryn Pugh, John Tinney, Alexis Tinney, Nathan Pugh and Mathew Pugh.

Graveside services for John will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Mark Unrue officiating.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1 (two hours prior to services) on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc.
