JOSEPH LORIN ALBAUGH

Joseph Lorin Albaugh, age 91, of New Philadelphia, O., passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice Lifecare Truman House in New Philadelphia, O.

Joseph was born September 11, 1934 in Uhrichsville, O., the only child of Dewey L. and Margaret Isabelle (Carey) Albaugh.

In 1954, Joseph graduated from Uhrichsville High School and then enlisted in the United States Navy, having served active duty and the Reserves from 1954 to 1960.  Joseph was employed for 45 years at Warner & Swasey Co., Gradall Industries LLC.

Joseph was an avid Cleveland Sports Fan. He enjoyed watching old black and white westerns on the television, golfing, coaching Little League Baseball and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Jean Albaugh, who passed away on June 21, 2025 and his son James L. Albaugh, who passed away June 22, 2016.

Joseph is survived by his children Joseph (Lucila) Albaugh of New Philadelphia, O., Jeffrey (Laura) Albaugh of Brunswick, O., and Mark (Heather) Albaugh of Gnadenhutten, O.; six grandchildren Christopher Albaugh, Jennifer (Yasu) Tanida, Justin Albaugh, Jacob (Tasha) Albaugh, Alexandra (Tyler) Bailey and Justin Walker; eleven great grandchildren and a brother-in-law Floyd “Buzz” (Patty) Jackson of Florida.

Graveside services will be held on June 1, 2026 at 11 a.m., at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.  The New Philadelphia VFW will conduct military graveside services.
