JOYCE ANN ENGSTROM
Joyce Ann Engstrom, age 80, of Tuscarawas, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at her son’s residence in Dover, following a brief illness.
Joyce was born August 26, 1944, in Dover. She is the daughter of the late Delbert Leroy and Ruth Elizabeth (Dickinson) Day.
In 1965, Joyce graduated from Garaway High School. She was employed as a home health aide for Ember Home Care for 18 years. She was a member of the Tuscarawas VFW, Dennison Eagles, Uhrichsville Family Moose and New Philadelphia VFW. Joyce enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
In 1979, Joyce married Harry “Corky” Engstrom. Harry passed away in June 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce is preceded in death by a twin sister Joy Lorenz.
Joyce is survived by her son Kevin (Hope) Engstrom of Dover; siblings Janet Miller of Florida, Kay (David) Maurer of Dundee, Jim (Kathryn) Day of Stonecreek; her grand fur baby “Zayne”; very best friends Paula and Rick Spaar; nieces and nephews Dowain (Gail) Kutscher, Rita Kutscher, Tonya (Walton) Whitmer, , Dan (Trish) Maurer, Tina Maurer and Connie (Watson) Abdelhaq, Mike Watson and Roberta Watson; and many great nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony at the Tuscarawas VFW on April 27, 2025 from 2 to 5 p.m. Burial will take place at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.
