MARY LOU HINES

Mary Lou Hines, age 91, of Tippecanoe, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at her residence in Tippecanoe.

Mary Lou was born February 14, 1932 in Barberton, the daughter of the late Charles Herbert and Eva (Keffer) Ellwood.

In 1950, Mary Lou graduated from Tuscarawas High School.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling, collecting salt and pepper shakers and feeding the birds.  She was a member of the West Chester and Freeport Senior Centers.  Mary Lou attended Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville.

Mary Lou is survived by her children Donny Miller, Hilda Lowe, Roy (Gayle) Hines, Dale (Kathy) Hines; sister Sarah Wilson; nine grandchildren Donita, Makeisha, Dalana, Jason, Heather, Sarah, Roy Jr., Lindsay and Michael; twenty three great grandchildren Hadden, Shania, Renee, Alysun, Alayna, Hunter, Kylee, DJ, Jamison, Kaden, Hannah, Noah, Madison, Aubrey, Gage, Michael, Britton, Cheyenne, Keith, Emma, Marly, Willow and Waylon and one great great grandchild Brylee.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou is preceded in death by her first husband William E. Hines, second husband Curtis D. Abbuhl; a son William Everett; siblings Betty Kinsey, Arthur Ellwood and William Ellwood; great grandson Devon Allen Lowe and daughter-in-law Lori Miller.

Funeral services for Mary Lou will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 1 p.m., at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with Heidi Willison officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenmont Union Cemetery in Freeport.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1, (two hours prior to services) on Thursday, at the funeral home.
