MAXINE LOUISE MORROW HUPP

Maxine Louise Morrow Hupp, age 83, of New Philadelphia, O., passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, O., following a brief illness.

Maxine was born in Summersville, West Virginia, on September 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Harley and Mary (Steele) Williams.

After graduation, Maxine received her bachelor’s degree at Akron University.  She was employed as a social worker for over 35 years, having worked at various locations, including the Homeless Shelter in New Philadelphia, O., before her retirement.

Maxine is survived by her husband Brady Hupp, whom she married August 17, 2002, of the home; her children Ted (Lora) Morrow of Dennison, Kim (Ron) Smith of Avon Park, Florida and Gale (Brian) McElwain of Quaker City, O.; her grandchildren Shay Smith, Austin Smith and Michael (Hannah) McElwain, and great grandchildren Layne McElwain, Caiden and Jaxon Adams.

In addition to her parents, Maxine is preceded in death by her first husband Theodore Milton Morrow, who passed away November 3, 1976 and her son James Morrow, who passed away June 6, 1991.

Private family services will be held and Maxine will be laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown, O.
