Nancy Carolyn Meyer Dupper, age 84, of Dennison, OH, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Born on February 20, 1931, in Lakewood, OH, Nancy was the daughter of the late Harold and Alberta (Saurbrey) Meyer.
Nancy was a graduate of Muskingum College, an elementary school teacher, and retired from Colonel Crawford School District. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Uhrichsville, where she was a Deacon and an Elder. Nancy was President of the Women’s Ministry. She served in the Sewing Guild making prayer quilts, choir, bell choir and many other committees and events. She was also a member of the Homemakers Club, the Sorosis Club, 500 Club and the Bridge Club. She also liked to play majahong. Nancy volunteered at Trinity Hospital Twin City and was active with Ohio Reads helping children with literacy challenges.
Nancy is survived by her children Carolyn (William) Stahlnecker of Mt. Dora, FL; son-in-law Jerry Beckner of New Philadelphia, OH; Bonnie (Frank) Gifford of Hillsboro, WV; and Wendy (Kent) Morgan of Medina, OH; 7 grandchildren Christopher (Carlene) Stahlnecker, Rebecca Stahlnecker, Jesse Beckner, Janice (Ethan) Landau, Evelynne Morgan, Emilee Morgan, Elliot Morgan, and 1 great granddaughter Alaina Landau.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald M. Dupper, who passed on December 31, 2000 and her daughter Donna Beckner, on June 20, 2005.
Memorial service for Nancy will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Uhrichsville, with Rev. Mark Unrue officiating.
Calling hours are 12 to 2 pm, (two hours prior to service) Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the church. Family and close friends are invited to stay for a meal at the church after.
