REBECCA “BECKY” SUE DOANE

Rebecca “Becky” Sue Doane, age 55, of Tippecanoe, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, while on vacation in Munising, Michigan.

Born April 25, 1969, in Dennison, Ohio, Becky is the daughter of Ginger (Bair) Doane of Tippecanoe and the late Elden “Tex” Doane.

In 1987, Becky graduated from Lakeland High School.  She then furthered her education at Ohio Dominion College, graduating in 1991 with a degree in Library Science.  Becky was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia.  She loved serving in Kids First Ministry and rocking babies.  Becky traveled to the Philippines in 1996 on a mission trip.  She also loved to travel having visited at least 37 states.  Becky was a charter member and faithful attender of her girls nights out group for over 20 years.  She enjoyed reading, photography, hiking and hanging out with family and friends.

Becky was employed at USPS as the Post Mistress in Port Washington.

Becky is survived by her mother Ginger Doane of Tippecanoe; a sister Beth (Kyle) Wood of Tippecanoe; nephew Jeremiah (Marlene) Wood of Tippecanoe; nieces Elizabeth (Fisher) Albright of New Philadelphia, Kathryn (Vincent) Henry of Tippecanoe; great niece Willow Albright; great nephews Othniel Henry and Jonah Wood; honorary nieces Allison and Mallory Walton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her beloved dog Nikki.

In addition to her father, Becky is preceded in death by many beloved aunts, uncles and a cousin Douglas Crabtree.

Becky loved God, loved babies and loved life.

Funeral services for Becky will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. in Uhrichsville, with Jeff  Bartell officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery.  A fellowship meal will be held immediately following burial at the Washington Township Firehouse in Tippecanoe.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 8 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the funeral home.
