Robert Allen Green, also known as Bob, Bobby and Greenie, age 68, of Dennison, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2023, doing what he loves best…selling cars.
Born March 15, 1955, in Dennison, Bobby is the son of the late Robert Green and Shirley Meese Green Bercaw.
In 1973, Bobby graduated from Claymont High School. He started his career working in the coal mine and then his car salesman career, at Brightwood Motors where he took over his dad’s customers. He then was employed at various dealerships including Gibbs Chevrolet in Uhrichsville, McCombs Chevrolet in Cadiz, Parkway Nissan Lincoln Mercury, Humphries Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep in New Philadelphia, Parkway Supercenter in Dover and Ferris Chevrolet in New Philadelphia.
Bobby was an avid golfer, who loved watching sports on TV. He enjoyed going on cruises, watering his flowers at the house and traveling long distances to buy coffee cake.
On September 21, 1974, Bobby married Cynthia Carr Green, who survives of the home. Also surviving are their two children BJ (Rebecca) Green and Tiffany (Jason) Crutchfield, all of Uhrichsville; a sister Vicky Myers; grandchildren Victoria (Jared) Butler, Gage (Abi Hostetler) Hamlin, Marah (Tyler Warner) Green, Alexa (Wolf Dean) Green, Gavin Hamlin, Landon Green, Aubri Crutchfield and Candace Crutchfield; 5 great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters and brothers-in-law Troy (Jen) Carr; Debi Kimble; Sonja (Todd) Kinsey and Eric (Deanna) Carr.
In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by a brother John Allen Green; sister-in-law Janet Green; father and mother-in-law Bob and Janet Carr and great grandson Brewer Butler.
Funeral services for Bobby will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Scot Caley officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the funeral home.
