ROGER E. COX

Roger E. Cox, age 80, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Union Hospital in Dover, following a lengthy illness.

Born December 11, 1939 in Dennison, Roger was the son of the late John and Bernice (Ridgeway) Cox.

Roger was employed as a machine operator for Larson Clay for 20 years.  He also worked at New Towne Mall, Union Cemetery and Schwartz Mobile Homes.  He enjoyed model railroads, fishing and playing Santa at the New Towne Mall. Roger attended the 11th Street Church of God.

In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by a daughter Sherry Cox; brothers Tim and Clyde Cox and a sister Marie Napier.

Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years Ruth E. (Hammer) Cox; children Garry Cox of Uhrichsville, Connie (Randy) Hollinger of Bolivar and Bonnie (John) Metcalf of Uhrichsville; brothers Larry (Junie) Cox of Midvale, Jerry Cox of Uhrichsville, Douglas (Harriet) Cox of Zoar and Steve Cox of Uhrichsville; a sister Sandy Shepler; grandchildren Michelle (Vincent) Taddeo, Johna Metcalf and John Metcalf; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family burial will be held.
