RONALD EUGENE MAHAFFEY

Ronald Eugene Mahaffey, age 80, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio.

Ronnie was born January 30, 1944, in Dennison, Ohio, the son of the late Obediah “Ralph” and Nellie Francis (Orr) Mahaffey.

He was employed Whitaker Greer in Midvale, Ohio.   Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved his vegetable garden.  He was also a fan of the Cleveland Guardians Baseball Team.

Ronnie is survived by his step children Patricia Smith and Jeanie Mangon; siblings Marjorie Tharp, James (Mary) Mahaffey, Kaye (Frank) Page and Ralph Thomas Mahaffey; brothers-in-law Alonzo Parrish and James Williams; extended family from both marriages; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by his first wife Marla M. (Doane) Mahaffey; his second wife Grace (Reichman) Mahaffey; sisters Mary Parrish and Dorothy Williams and brother and sister-in-law Robert Tharp and Betty Mahaffey and step son-in-law Jim Mangon.

Funeral services for Ronnie will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 1 p.m., at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with Steve Roth officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tippecanoe.

Calling hours will be from 11 to 1, (two hours prior to services) on Thursday, at the funeral home.
